Custom Domain

Make your surveys look professional and align with your brand by using your company’s domain name. You can use a different subdomain for each survey or the same one for multiple surveys.

Steps to Set Up a Custom Subdomain:

1. Open your survey and click Share.

2. Enable Custom domain and enter your subdomain:

   

   
   

3. In your domain provider’s DNS settings, add a CNAME record pointing to customers.getmetasurvey.com and set proxy status to DNS only:

   

   
   Note: you can only link a subdomain (e.g., survey.mycompany.com), not your primary domain (e.g., mycompany.com).

4. Click + Add. If you see a verification error, wait up to 24 hours for DNS updates.

5. Once verified, your survey link will include your custom domain. The old link will still work.

Note: it may take a few minutes for your domain to generate an SSL certificate. Open the survey in a new tab or incognito mode to verify.
